Test VIDAS® C. difficile GDH jest jakościowym testem do wykrywania antygenu C. difficile : dehydrogenazy glutaminianowej (GDH) w próbkach kału od pacjentów z podejrzeniem zakażenia C. difficile. Jest używany łącznie z testem VIDAS® C. difficile Toxin A & B w dwustopniowym algorytmie diagnostycznym.
Panel VIDAS® C. difficile pozwala na szybkie uzyskanie informacji pozwalających na podjęcie działań w celu ograniczenia rozprzestrzeniania się epidemii ¹. Pomaga zmniejszyć zachorowalność i śmiertelność pacjentów oraz obniżyć koszty opieki zdrowotnej².
Według obowiązujących wytycznych, próbki dodatnie w teście GDH powinny być badane przy użyciu testu C. difficile toxins A & B aby potwierdzić obecność infekcji C difficile.
